Staff Readin' & Relaxin' Book Group

Remember Burma Shave signs? This month's staff book group selection, The Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio by Terry Ryan, tells the true story of a mom who keeps her family of 10 clothed and fed with her witty entries into the contests for "jingles" that proliferated in the 1950s and 1960s. We'll meet at Betsy's home on Monday, March 19th at 7:00 to watch part of the movie based on the book and marvel over this mother's acheivements. The Eugene Public Library has four copies of the book, along with audiotape and DVD versions. Hope that you can join us!
